May. 7th, 2004 12:21 amI'm pissed off tonight. Been reading about the clusterfuck over in Iraq where we have been torturing prisoners. What a bunch of bullshit. The people in charge of this country are such a bunch of cocksuckermotherfuckingpiecesofshitlowlifebastards. I can't even think straight at the moment. I just want to cuss.
I love this country. America. I have since I was a wee lad. My dad was in the army when I was younger and when I was very small, he was in Vietnam for two years. During that time, my mother and I (and my sister, when she got here) lived in Germany with her family. At one point over there, my mother bought me a pair of lederhosen, which are a traditional German outfit for men/boys. I liked em, put em on, paraded around in my nifty new pants and then my mother said "You look just like a little German boy!". I took em off immediately and refused to wear them again. I love this country for what it represents. For it's potential. For what it purports to be. For the symbol it is to other people in less fortunate places. America is the dream of a better life.
Granted, it's never been perfect. This country has had it's problems. America has been like John Wayne, the symbol. I love The Duke too. I love the John Wayne you see in the movies. I probably would not have liked John Wayne the man. But the symbol he became was elevated above his base humaness. The symbol of America, the promise of that dream, of equality for everybody, of helping out the underdog...it's being destroyed by those assholes in Washington. I just saw John Wayne anally rape some Iraqi prisoner and it fucking pisses me off. You used to go to nearly any country and when they knew you were an American, you were treated like a celebrity or a visiting dignitary. Now you are treated like a pariah. If I went abroad, I'd be tempted to claim to be a Canadian. I'd wanna wear one of these.
Those assholes are purposefully destroying my country. The president is a religous psychopath and he's surrounded by people taking advantage of his psychosis. Even if they don't bring about some sort of apocalypse, they have damaged the reputation of this country beyond measure.
Is that the Secret Service knocking at my door? They'll probably get here soon. You know it's against the rules now to be critical of the goverment.
That's enough random ranting. I gotta sleep.
