Book sale loot
Aug. 2nd, 2004 12:37 amManaged to get out of bed early enough to go to the Chico Friends of the Library Book Sale on Saturday. Took two bags of books to donate. Picked up four books. 1 dollar for the four of em. What a deal.
City of Bones by Michael Connelly: A mystery series. I've read one of the others in the series and it wasn't too bad.
The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara: A Civil War novel. The movie Gettysburg was based on this book. Several people have told me it's pretty good.
Blood of Amber by Roger Zelazny: 7th book in the Amber series. I read these many many years ago and have been thinking I should find them and reread them.
The 4th book seems to be awol. Don't know where it went. Some cheesy mystery thriller, but I like those sometimes.
Also went into the library proper and picked up the fifth Harry Potter book. A couple of friends of mine are big fans of these and have been haranguing me to read them. The first one wasn't that great but they have been getting steadily better, I think. The fourth one actually kept me up much too late last week.
