support a soldier
Dec. 1st, 2004 11:35 pmThis is a cool site:
http://www.anysoldier.us/index.cfm
If you want to support a soldier in Iraq but don't actually know one, this site was started by a sgt who was stationed over there who noticed that some guys never got anything in the mail. You can basically send a package to one of their contacts addressed to 'any soldier' and they will pass it along to one of the grunts over there.
Be sure to read the lists of what to send and not to send. The biggie is no home made stuff, like cookies. The troops are told to dump anything not prepackaged from people they don't know.
