Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut was on The Daily Show last night. I missed the show but I just watched a clip of his appearance. I read most of his books (the ones he'd written up to that point) when I was a lot younger. After watching him on The Daily Show I'm thinking that I have to go out and re-aquaint myself with Kurt.

Kurt Vonnegut on evolution:

I think evolution is being controlled by some kind of divine engineer. I can't help thinking that. And this engineer knows exactly what he or she is doing and why and where evolution is headed. And that's why we've got giraffes, hippopatami and the clap.
