That explains that
Dec. 17th, 2005 11:52 amThere is a school near our house that I often take the dog down to for some exercise.
On the way to this school I pass a really nasty house. It's very run down and cluttered with all kinds of crap. What I can see of the backyard is even worse. There is also almost always a mean looking dude hanging out there, usually working on a car out front or something. I mean, these guys always look like they have been in prison recently, with their tattoos and sullen stares at me as I walk by. I've always wondered what the deal was with this house.
Yesterday in the newspaper I found out.

A huge drug lab located across the street from a Chico elementary school was raided Thursday afternoon by agents of the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force. BINTF obtained a search warrant after receiving information methamphetamine was being cooked at 997 E. 16th St., just 167 feet from Chapman School.
The warrant was served about 1 p.m. and an operating lab was found that BINTF commander Vic Lacey said could produce multipound batches of the drug.
So, I wonder what will happen to that place now?
