Stray Cat Shuffle
Sep. 3rd, 2006 11:10 pmThree of the stray cats that hang out near our house.

This one is Eyeball. She's practically not a stray cat anymore, she hangs out here so much. She lets me hold her and pet her and call her George.
She tends to get into fights with our cat, Snickers the Candybar Cat. Eyeball is pretty tough because her thick fur is like armor, but as you can see, she does have a weak spot.

This one doesn't have a name yet. He's just that black cat. Or she's that black cat. A scaredy cat that I can't get close to yet.

When I first saw this one I thought it was our cat, Snickers, because they are similar in size and fur color. That combined with the mean look on this cat's face has moved me to call her/him "Evil Snickers". She's still very much a scaredy cat also.

This is a picture of Jimmy BigBalls (though he doesn't have them anymore at the time this picture was taken). He was a stray that got along well with Snickers and was very friendly. He had been hanging around and one day he was limping bad and his paw was swollen very badly. We took him to the vet, had the paw fixed, had his nuts 'fixed' and adopted him.
Lovely, lovely cat. Doro said once "I think Jimmy might be brain damaged, I've never seen a cat this happy before." and that summed him up pretty well. Sadly, a few months after we took him in he got hit by a car and was killed.
I never got a picture of the cat we called BigHead. I wish I had. He was an odd looking cat. I think he's passed away though. When last we saw him he was pretty raggedy looking and had a nasty looking wound on his neck. He hasn't been sighted in months now. I managed to touch his head once while he was eating.

A picture of the non-stray cat, Snickers.
