How the internet works
Jan. 15th, 2008 04:53 pmI read
superhappytime's post about the hottest ladies in indie rock and, not being up on the latest indie rock chicks I say that I liked the women in Sleater-Kinney but they broke up so they might no longer qualify.
After this I am thinking of Sleater-Kinney, who I used to listen to quite often and I wonder what happened to them, why they broke up and what they are doing now.
I head to wikipedia and look them up.
One of the bits of information I glean there is that Carrie Brownstein now has a blog called Monitor Mix on the NPR website.
I go there and look it over.
I see she talks up a band called Ladyhawk. They are from Canadia. I go to there myspace page and listen to them today while I try to work.
I dig them.
And that is one of the mysterious ways that the internet works to introduce us to new and cool things.
