Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder
Jun. 17th, 2008 07:06 pmI just bought one of these. Got it today. It's pretty nice for 115 bucks.
I made this video with it. I think the video quality is pretty decent.
It holds an hour of video. Our old WIndows 2K machine spit out an error message the first time I plugged it in and after that it pretended like it couldn't see the Flip.
I plugged it into my Ubuntu machine and it reads it like another 2 gig hard drive. Easy to pull the files off. The built in video editor doesn't work on the Ubuntu machine but that isn't a big deal.
They recently came out with an even smaller version of this but it's a bit more expensive and uses built in batteries, like an iPod. I kinda like the 2 AA batteries in the one I got.
It's super easy to use. The main record/stop recording button isn't as sensitive as I'd like but I'll probably get used to it.
Anyway, so far I'm really happy I bought it.
