The house next to us is up for rent. Just now I heard a voice from our driveway saying "Hello? hello?"
I went and took a look and it was some lady with her two kids (approximate age 7-10?) and she asked me if I knew anything about the house next door that was for rent. I told her the name of the property management place that manages it and she left.
Here is the thing that sorta bugged me though. She was wearing a t-shirt that said: "Practice safe sex, go FUCK yourself!"
I'm all for being yourself. I hate dressing up. I love wearing t-shirts and many of them are not blank.
But that doesn't seem like the sort of thing to wear with little kids around or when you are out looking for a new place to live.
Am I just an old fuddy duddy? When I used to drive a bus I kicked a punk ass kid (most of them qualified as this when I was a bus driver) off my bus for wearing a hat that said something like "Fuck you!" on it. That just didn't seem appropriate and I was pretty sure some of the people on the bus were offended by it. I know, power corrupts and all that and obviously it went right to my head.
I hope she doesn't get the place.
