Credit card companies
Mar. 8th, 2005 11:20 pmAre credit card companies the greediest things ever?
In addition to the usurious nature of their main business practice (namely, loaning money at exorbitant rates) I noticed today that all the credit card companies' return envelopes (you know, the envelopes you are supposed to send you check back to them in) have little advertisements stuck to the back of them. I have never seen anybody but credit card companies do this.
So send in your $34.56 minimum monthly payment (that doesn't actually pay off any of the money you owe) and while you're at it, order one of these $99.00 cubic zirconium necklaces for your mother.
The only reason Shakespeare said "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers" was because they didn't have credit card companies back then.
