Help me!

It's nearly 11 and I'm still plugged into the internet. I get up around 4am on the weekdays. What am I thinking? I've had two beers to try and clear some out of the fridge (still left over from Doro's birthday bash) and because I was thirsty and though a Diet Pepsi would be bad this late at night but those two beers woke up my beer thirst and I feel now that I might have another. Is that an iceberg I see up there? (channeling the captain of the Titanic)

Ah heck. I'm listening to the Supersuckers. I forgot how much I like these guys. It's kinda odd how you forget about music you like and then rediscover it.

We are heading up to Mt. Lassen this weekend. A couple of other folks are going with us but I just don't feel like doing the whole thing you gotta do to add their little symbols here (damn you two beers!) so I'll just say that their LJ names are metalgypsy and whosplittheatom (or something like that. Why not pick a normal name like ygolonac!!!!!)

My habanero peppers are turning reddish orange. That's nifty.

My infatuation with my compost heap has been interrupted by our new neighbor's dog, a boxer bitch that hates me. She barks all the time when I am on that side of the house and charges the fence and slams her body against it in an effort to break through so she can eviscerate me. Then my dog, the brave and valiant Tattoo, hears this devil dog barking her rage at me and he (being left inside the house lest he charge his side of the fence in order to eviscerate [or attempt at least] the boxer bitch) starts barking from inside the house. This results in me being subjected to angry barking from one side and plaintive yelps of comfort and anxiety from the other. I can't take much of that so I don't spend much time out by my compost.

However, you need not be left in the lurch because of this. I offer you this Power Point presentation on the wondrous Black Soldier Fly (and it's children).

Expect pictures of Lassen next week. Maybe have to go to Createdestiny's LJ to see them though.

I have recently taken up the bbq'ing of shishkebobs and they have come out pretty good. Last week made some salsa with our homegrown tomatoes and habanero peppers. It needs some work though. Cilantro.

Next year I want to grow some garlic too. And more peppers. And some heirloom plants from seed savers. Did you know they have black tomatoes?!? Freaky.

ok, I gotta go to bed.
