Hedwig

I finally saw Hedwig & The Angry Inch last weekend. Happened to come on IFC and Doro and I watched it.

I liked it quite a bit. I heard it was good and comparable to Rocky Horror (which I love) but ...

I also heard it was about a dude who had a botched sex change operation and was left with the inch mentioned in the title.

I have issues with surgery. I hate them. I hate when Doro watches surgery tv shows and I was scared away from the movie because I was afraid there would be graphic weenie chopping footage, which I did not want to see.

Turns out there isn't any such footage. It's all good.

If you like R.H.P.S. then you should check out this movie. I am pretty sure if you liked one you will like the other.

I'm not ready to say it's better than Rocky Horror, but it's pretty damned good.

I read someplace that the dude who wrote most of the songs in Hedwig was .... inspired? by Meatloaf's music, and I can hear that.

Here's a video from the movie to check out for yourself.

When Doro and I went to Yosemite a month or so ago she hogged the digital camera while I went old school with a Yashica my dad used to use (before he went digital). I took a roll of b&w photos. This was one of them:

Yosemite

That's the money shot of Yosemite Valley.

What is really funny, when we came down from our hike and were in the parking lot we saw a rental RV parked there that had the same view printed on it's backside.

(we didn't take that picture, that's one I found online)

The one we saw didn't have the window though, so it was more obvious what the picture was of.

It was parked in such a way that we couldn't get a photo of it with it being within the view depicted on it's back. Too bad cause that would have been kinda cool.
